Bashing the President - Who's really to blame?

All the "Bashing" going on about President Bush is some what uncalled for. Yet others like to bring up President Clinton and bash him for the troubles he led our country into. God bless us that we live in America and can post such things. Just twenty years this would have been unheard of, to get a point across to other people.

I like to thank our very own U.S. Government for bringing us the World Wide Web, even tho the net could eventually put a end to the very government that gave it to us.

If you want to "BASH" a group of the government and it would be well deserved if you did, would be your Congress! They are the real culprits when it comes to stealing your Freedom and Rights!

During the "Clinton" era you had a Republican run Congress. Yes the very Republican Congress that made up the "budgets" that we're living today through and the very ones that voted and passed those stupid gun ban laws. Sure Clinton could have vetoed the gun ban, but someone higher up then Clinton or the Republican controlled Congress wanted it passed. No it wasn't God! I'm not sure who it was, maybe the United Nations? The U.N. has a big beef with Americans owning guns, if you think I'm lying, go to their web site and they flat out tell you that Americans aren't fit to have guns.

Now you have Bush in office. Once again the Congress is controlled by the Republicans. The same Republican Congress that signed away our rights to the "Patriot Act." Now the Republican controlled Congress is about to make a decision soon on to ban torture or not. Now if they do ban torture, President Bush has already said he would "veto" it! That might be a good time to bash Bush, if you disagree with his decision. I'm sure all the Christians will.

As I've said before and I'll say it again, I really don't have too much respect for the last 5-6 Presidents. That's just my opnion. If I post a dislike for a certain President, 95% of the time it will be for the mere fact that they stole some of America's Rights, Freedoms or lives.

Don't get me wrong, I still think we have one of the greatest governments in the world. But I think in the last 50 years it's been going to hell in a hand basket so to speak.

I just think it's time we did a "tune up" on the Government and give it back to who it belongs, We the People!

I think it's a basic fact that this nation is more divided now than it has been in my lifetime. You have two basic camps, followed by a still-multiplying number of smaller groups.

One main group sees America as having "freedom of." We should have freedom to do as we please, as long as we don't interfere too much with someone else's freedom. This group includes that we also have the freedom to fail, and no one else is responsible for bailing us out. When we fall on our faces, we should try to help ourselves, then go to family, church, friends, etc. We also must change our ways to prove that we won't knowingly do it again. When we finally do well, we should help others. This way, WE are our own government.

The other camp believes in "freedom from." They see us as having freedom from the consequences of our failure. They think they have this right even if the failure is the result of repeatedly bad habits. They look to an all-powerful central government to force every level of government to bail us out at all costs. This is expensive and requires killer tax rates, and mandatory compliance. That's why this system is basically evil. We are forced to almost completely give up control of the fruits of our labor so it can be redistributed as the government sees fit. "We the people" are not the government under this system. This is exactly the system that leads to totalitarianism. It has been the direction of our government since Abraham Lincoln suspended the Writ of Habeas Corpus, jailed newsmen for stories he didn't like and subjugated the Southern states, thus squashing the 10th Amendment to the Constitution.

One-world government is the goal of many, if not almost all of the highest people in BOTH parties. It's just the method and time table they disagree on. The Democrats, if they had their way, would have suspended the Constitution years ago. The Republicans intend to do it slowly, so to minimize the conflict that will be unavoidable. I happen to prefer to have more time to combat this idea, and I agree with most of what the RNC says they believe, so I am a Republican, with some Libertarian beliefs.

As far as presidential bashing goes, I only got into the fray after reading all the arrogance of the Bush-bashing, Christian-hating posts. Most of them are fairly cookie-cutter, so I again say I suspect one or two young people are responsible for the majority of them. Then they delude themselves into thinking that their's is an idea that is sweeping the nation--they actually think that everyone, except a few "Redneck Christianistas" is on their side. I've tried to prepare them for the letdown that is coming.

Here's my secret fear: Those who hate Bush, Christians, the military, America, etc are driving too many people into the Conservative camp. That sounds crazy, coming from me? You are going to hand too much power and too much responsibility to the ones you hate so badly. Cliche: Absolute power corrupts abosutely. If you want to see what Republicans (or anybody else) can do with too much power, keep talking all that trash and driving the middle toward the right. The Conservative camp is full enough already, quit sending us more.

The Bush bashers/Christian haters who regularly post here are, in their own hearts, becoming the very close-minded bigots they accuse others of being. It would be hard to feel sorry for them in a few years except that all of us are going to suffer. Clinton tried to take over by Executive Order and force; the Republicans need only to sit down and wait for the outrageous statements of Democrat leaders to push everyone into the fold.

I really don't hate any of you for posting your ideas, as misguided as I think they are. I do think you need someone to push against and examine your convictions. Maybe one day we will all find we have been fooled and have more in common than we thought.
