04/26/2006 - LEOMINSTER, Mass. -- The seven-year-old son of a Leominster police officer accidentally fired his father's gun while inside the city's police station.
Police Chief Peter Roddy told the Telegram and Gazette of Worcester that no one was injured when the bullet went into a ceiling last Thursday.
The chief said the officer, whom he would not identify, was off-duty when he stopped by the station with his son.
The officer was reportedly showing someone a demonstration model of a holster for his semiautomatic gun.
At some point, he put the gun down while reloading an ammunition magazine.
That's when his son picked it up and fired the shot.
The chief said the department is conducting an internal investigation.

In some states it's against the law to let a minor have access to a firearm, just for this very reason.
Scary isn't that this stupid fuck is allowed to have children.
