July 12, 2006 - On Tuesday, the trial of a Tulare County Sheriff’s deputy began with emotional testimony. Deputy Paul Turner is charged with negligent storage of his service pistol which was used to kill a young girl. Back in 2004, seven year old Gabby Garcia was accidentally shot and killed after a group of kids found the gun while playing in Turner’s home. Turner sat silently in court as Gabby’s family members took the stand and recounted the details of her death. Several law enforcement officers also took the stand. Turner could lose his job and spend up to three years behind bars, if convicted. www.cbs47.tv/news/local/story.aspx?content_id=A5724870-3267-4263-8799-065373422B99
