June 29, 2006 - CERULEAN, Ky. - Trigg County Coroner John Vinson says the death of a man who was struck by a cruiser driven by Sheriff Randy Clark was an 'unfortunate accident.' Thirty-seven-year-old Michael Sowell was killed early yesterday outside the house in the Cerulean community where he lives with his parents. Sowells father, Eugene, says he believes Clark ran over his son on purpose. The sheriff was called to the Sowell residence after the parents called nine-one-one and said their son was out of control. When the younger Sowell refused to drop butcher knives and a metal rod, the sheriff says he drove away to get backup and Sowell either fell or jumped in front of his cruiser. www.wkrc.com/news/state/story.aspx?content_id=1F116D22-894E-4E65-9C09-D9CB0AF12BCE
