Officer Scott Vaughn
August 12, 2006 - PORTLAND -- A Portland Police officer was placed on leave after being arrested at his estranged wife's home Wednesday.
East Precinct Officer Scott Vaughn, 37, is charged with Attempted Burglary and Harassment because of the incident.
Troutdale Police were called to the home of Vaughn's estranged wife at 10:18 Wednesday night. Vaughn was arrested then booked at the Multnomah County Detention Center.
Vaughn has been an officer for 12 years, according to the Police Bureau. He was placed on paid administrative leave pending the outcome of the case.
