Officer Brandon Wilcox 03/10/2006 - ALBUQUERQUE -- An Albuquerque police officer has been arrested for allegedly driving drunk. Police say 25-year-old Brandon Wilcox was arrested at his home on Thursday. They say he was off duty when he crashed his patrol car into two curbs in northeast Albuquerque. He abandoned the car and walked just over half a mile to his home, where another officer found him passed out. A criminal complaint says Wilcox's blood-alcohol level was more than twice the legal limit of point-zero-eight. Wilcox is facing a criminal charge of aggravated DWI. He's on paid administrative leave while police conduct an internal investigation. Police spokesman John Walsh says the department has a zero tolerance policy when it comes to DWI.
