08.10.2006 - KALISPELL — A city police officer accused of assaulting several women, and then pulling one over in his patrol car and telling her to ‘‘shut her mouth,’’ has been suspended without pay. Officer Troy Holt, 41, was placed on administrative leave in mid-May when the allegations first surfaced and was charged last week with two counts of sexual assault, three counts of assault and one count of unlawful restraint. His suspension without pay takes effect Thursday. The alleged assaults were related to his work as an associate pastor at Glacier Mountain Fellowship. The Flathead County Sheriff’s Office investigated the criminal complaint. The police department conducted a separate review to decide if Holt’s actions violated police policy and whether discipline, up to termination, is warranted. www.helenair.com/articles/2006/08/10/montana/a10081006_05.txt

11.30.2006 - Kalispell police officer Troy Holt resigned Tuesday. He had been placed on paid administrative leave in May — when he was accused of sexual assault — and was suspended without pay Aug. 10. His resignation was accepted without public comment by police Chief Frank Garner. Holt still faces six criminal charges related to the allegations. He is charged with unlawful restraint, three counts of assault and two counts of sexual assault. He is accused of improprieties by women with whom he worked as an associate pastor at Glacier Mountain Fellowship. The unlawful restraint charge relates to a woman’s accusation that after she complained about his behavior, he used his patrol car to pull her over and tell her to “shut her mouth.” Kalispell police conducted an investigation into whether Holt’s actions violated the department’s policies. Before a determination was made official, Holt resigned. The criminal allegations are being investigated by the Flathead County Sheriff’s Office. www.dailyinterlake.com/articles/2006/11/30/news/news03.txt
