TAVARES, FLORIDA - A Lake County sheriff’s deputy was arrested Friday following allegations that he sexually assaulted a young girl repeatedly while he was employed by the Broward County Sheriff’s Office.
Edmund K. Dawes, 42, faces charges of indecent assault, sexual battery on a child, and lewd and lascivious molestation in connection with several incidents that occurred prior to his hiring as a Lake County deputy in 2002.
