9/20/06 - GALVESTON, TX - A Galveston police officer has been indicted on a charge of sexual assault for allegedly assaulting a woman in his patrol car. Officer Kenneth Deshun Woods' indictment yesterday is his second since June, when he was charged with kidnapping for an alleged offense involving a different woman. Prosecutors say the women in both cases accused Woods of approaching them at a beach and forcing them into his patrol car. Galveston Police Chief Kenneth Mack says the 27-year-old officer has been suspended since police began investigating the first claim. Woods has been free on 40-thousand dollars' bail on the kidnapping charge. As of yesterday, no warrant has been issued nor bail amount set for the sex assault charge. abclocal.go.com/ktrk/story?section=local&id=4579953
