Deputy James Seigfreid 05/07/2006 - A Palm Beach County Sheriff's Deputy was arrested Friday afternoon and charged with shooting a man in a dispute over payment for a sex act in West Palm Beach. Deputy James Seigfreid was booked into Palm Beach County Jail on charges of aggravated battery, shooting into an occupied vehicle, use of a firearm while under the influence of alcohol and filing a false report in the commission of a crime. Seigfreid had agreed to pay 21-year-old Ira Joe Stuckey, who was wearing a wig, to perform a sex act, the West Palm Beach arrest report said. Seigfreid gave him $40 to perform the act in his unmarked patrol car. Seigrfreid demanded his money back when the man did not finish the act. But when his badge dropped, Stuckey picked it up. When Stuckey started to drive away, Seigfreid shot him, police said. Seigfreid had initially said he shot the man in the arm when he was getting robbed. However, fingerprint evidence showed Stuckey had been inside Seigfreid's car. He remains on administrative leave with pay from the Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office, said spokesman Paul Miller.
