A Rosenberg police officer was fired for assaulting a woman while on duty, officials told KPRC Local 2.
Geneva Flora videotaped officers investigating a possible shooting near her home on Monday.
Flora said officer David Evans hit her.
"This man was like a loose cannon," Flora said. "If he hit me with a camera on, what do you think he's gonna do when it's off?"
Rosenberg police conducted an investigation and fired Evans. The police chief fired him for unnecessary use of force, a direct violation of departmental policy, officials said.
