OK now I was wondering if a San Bernardino county sheriff were to show up at my door, which is in Riverside county, and search my home for they're suspicion of someone being here "which they werent" without a warrant. They used the excuse of my brother being on parole that they had the right. but he is on parole out of Riverside they came from San Bernardino and they didnt have his parole officers consent either because we asked his P.O. and he said he never heard from anyone. The sheriffs were told many times to leave & that they had not been given permission to enter the house. So I was just wondering if this was legal or what because it sounds like some B/S to me. THIS IS NOT A POLICE STATE

That is sort of unusual that another county agency would be at your door steps demanding to search your home. Are you sure that no Riverside county deputies were present? Could they have been part of a multi county task force?
Next time the police come knocking at your door, just don't open the door! There is no law that says you must open your door to a police officer, even if he "commands" you to. Make them show you the warrant, but don't open the door to look at it!
If a police officer is chasing someone and that person goes into you home, the police may enter into your home without permission. If a neighbor hears screaming coming from your home, an officer may enter into your home.
Now maybe someone may have notified the police that they "thought" your brother was in your home. I would think the police would probably still ask you, if he was there and if they could "look" around. I would have said no way in hell!
You could write a letter to the San Bernardino county sheriff and ask the sheriff why his officers were at your house. Be sure to send the letter "certified mail," that way you have "proof" and documentation that you actually sent the letter. When you get a reply back, be sure to post it here, on the message board.
Again just don't open your door when a cop knocks on it! If they enter your house uninvited and without a warrant, send them back out in a body bag!
