11.01.2006 - Greenville - A deputy has been suspended after a review panel found he violated the agency's policy on the use of deadly force when he fired three shots at a man suspected of stealing his unmarked patrol car. The Greenville County Sheriff's Office said Monday that Deputy Larry Young was suspended without pay for ten days and ordered to undergo remedial training in the use of deadly force. Young is a 28-year veteran of the department. Sheriff's spokesman Lieutenant Shea Smith said Young fired when the suspect tried to run away and that violated department policy. www.wistv.com/Global/story.asp?S=5611962
