09.28.2006 - CHICKASHA, Okla. - Grady County Sheriff Kieran McMullen and three others are named in a multicounty grand jury indictment unsealed today that accuses them of conspiring to convert the Chickasha Elks lodge into a mini-casino. The indictment names McMullen and his wife, Chickasha police Lieutenant Helen Mcmullen, Chickasha police Officer Jerry Don Tyler and Grady County sheriff's deputy Robert Clinton Cacy. Each face felony counts of conspiracy, conducting illegal gambling and being engaged in illegal gambling as a peace officer They also face misdemeanor counts of permitting gambling and willful neglect of duty. The indictment follows a yearlong investigation and a September 6th raid of the lodge.
