NJ Cop Suing Man He Talked Out of Suicide 11.02.2006 - MORRISTOWN, NJ -- A Denville police sergeant is suing a man who he talked out of committing suicide. Sergeant Ronald Nametko alleges the 2004 incident left him with lasting mental and emotional distress. Nametko also is suing Patrick O'Connor's neighbor, claiming he never warned him about O'Connor. Nametko says the neighbor just told the officer where to find O'Connor. O'Connor pointed a gun at the sergeant and yelled for Nametko to shoot him. Nametko persuaded O'Connor to put down the gun after about 45 minutes of conversation. O'Connor was recently charged with killing his family's golden retriever, which police say he believed was the devil. 1010wins.com/pages/118781.php?contentType=4&contentId=234037
