05/08/2006 - ELSA – An Elsa Police investigator is in custody Tuesday, for failing to appear in court.
Investigator Ismael Gomez was arrested Tuesday afternoon while on duty.
Court documents show Gomez was set to appear at the 206th District Court last Friday, but he failed to show up. A warrant was issued for his arrest.
Gomez faces a charge of injury to a child. He is scheduled to appear in court on Wednesday morning.
He will spend the night in the Hidalgo County Sheriff’s Department.
