06.01.2006 - State officials have charged a White Marsh man with misconduct in office for alleged incidents that occurred during his job as a Maryland Park Police officer.
The attorney general's office said Gary Lee Haslam, 46, has been charged with one count of unauthorized removal of property and one count of misconduct in office.
According to Maryland Attorney General J. Joseph Curran Jr., it is alleged that in September, Haslam, who is a lieutenant with Maryland Park Police, removed a state bulldozer from Susquehanna State Park for his personal use and also used court-ordered community service workers assigned to Rocks State Park to work on his private property in Jarrettsville.
An initial appearance has been scheduled for July 18 in the Circuit Court for Harford County.
If convicted, he faces a maximum penalty for unauthorized removal of property of four years and up to a $100 fine, plus restitution.
