03/24/2006 - A federal civil lawsuit has been filed against Pinckney and one of its police officers by a man who claims he was falsely arrested after a traffic stop in the village.
The suit was filed Feb. 28 in Michigan Eastern District U.S. Federal Court on behalf of Aaron Wallace, a Livingston County resident who was 23 when he was stopped by Pinckney Officer Mark Frohlich on Oct. 28, 2004.
According to the suit, Frohlich ordered Wallace to complete sobriety tests, which he did, and then Wallace asked for a preliminary breath test, which revealed his blood alcohol content was less than half of the legal operating limit of 0.08.
