Here is just an example of bad cops stories. To view more stories of corrupt cops go to www.PoliceCrimes.com. 01/12/2006 - Charlottesville Police are not releasing a lot of information because this is an ongoing administrative investigation, but we do know that an officer has been charged with a misdemeanor. On August 28 Officer Cliff Goodwin made a DUI arrest and brought the man before the magistrate. That's when the magistrate says she saw some aggressive behavior on the part of the officer. The Charlottesville Police Department initiated an immediate administrative investigation. Soon after Virginia State Police began looking into the incident and issued a permitted warrant for the officers arrest on Wednesday. Police Chief Tim Longo couldn't comment on the specifics of what led to the charge. "It could be a push, it could be any number of things, any level of physical force could give rise to these kind of allegations but again part of the reason about not commenting on this facts is those facts will be in contest when this case goes to a criminal trial," says Longo. Goodwin is scheduled to appear in court on January 25th.
