December 23, 2005 - ORLANDO, Fla. -- An Orange County judge previously charged with chastising a deputy sheriff who had a child out of wedlock is in trouble again.
Judge Alan Todd has been removed from criminal cases for making remarks in court about another judge. Todd is accused of telling defendants that they should avoid county Judge W. Michael Miller.
According to court documents, Todd told one defendant when she sees Judge Miller to "keep her fingers doubly crossed and her toes crossed and everything else." A Ninth Judicial Circuit Chief judge removed Todd from misdemeanor criminal cases and transferred him to a civil-court division.
Last year, Todd was charged with telling an Orange County deputy who was an unwed mother that her family had "no morals." Court records show Todd told her, "It is acceptable for a male to have sex before marriage, but if a female does so, she is not respected and considered a tramp."
