09.08.2006 - CHICAGO Kidnapping, home invasion and other felony charges are being leveled at four Chicago police officers, accused of using their badges to intimidate people and get into their homes. The four are part of the Special Operations Section of the Chicago police, which officials say focuses on gangs and drugs. All are under arrest and due in court tomorrow. Prosecutors are refusing to give more details until then. Police brass say the investigation began in 2004. By last year, they were getting complaints that the officers weren't showing up when suspects they arrested would appear in court. One official says they've talked to "numerous victims and witnesses." Chicago's police superintendent says the officers will be suspended without pay, and the department will try to fire them. If convicted, the officers could face 30 years. www.wboc.com/Global/story.asp?S=5380133&nav=MXEFM7m7
