2006-10-06 KNOXVILLE, TENNESSEE – A former Knox County Sheriff's Office deputy arrested last week for allegedly holding up a bank now faces a second bank robbery charge. Ex-Deputy Jim Frye, 51, was arraigned in U.S. District Court Thursday on a two-count indictment returned by a federal grand jury. Frye already faced a charge that he robbed a Regions Bank branch on Maynardville Highway on Sept. 26.
