08.16.2006 - DOTHAN, Ala. -- A former Houston County sheriff's deputy await sentencing after he pleaded guilty to stealing $20,000 worth of sporting goods gear. At a hearing yesterday, Officer Richard Ducker told Circuit Judge Lawson Little that he was guilty of first-degree theft. Ducker was arrested in October 2005 after investigators found the property that had been taken from a sporting goods store where he was employed part-time. Little scheduled a sentencing hearing for October 31. Under state law, a first-degree theft conviction carries a prison term of two to 20 years and a fine of up to $10,000. www.wsbtv.com/news/9687014/detail.html

Yes I know the story says he is a "former" officer, but I can almost be assured that he was probably an officer at the time and either quit or was fired. If anyone has proof otherwise, feel free to print it.
