02/01/2006 - ENFIELD Massachusetts - A Enfield police officer has been arrested on assault charges.
27 year old officer Gregory Skop of Southwick, Massachusetts is out on 250-thousand dollars bail.
Officials say on friday, skop went to the police department to talk to his ex-girlfriend, who is an EMS worker . They say he then assaulted her.
Officer Skop is the department's only k-9 handler.
He has been suspended with pay.
