SANTA BARBARA, Calif. - A deputy charged with sexually assaulting a 15-year-old girl while on the job has been fired from the Santa Barbara County Sheriff's Department.
Department spokesman Erik Raney says Deputy Jon Charles Holm was fired on August 22nd.
The spokesman wouldn't give any details.
Holm had been on paid administrative leave from the department following his July 7th arrest.
He has pleaded not guilty to five counts of assaulting the teenager last year.
According to his attorney Holm denies any inappropriate relationship with the girl, his attorney, William Pardee, has said.
