[/img] Former Police Chief Chris Landers 08.08.2006 - WAFF 48 News has confirmed a former police chief is out of jail on bond facing some serious charges. Morgan County Sheriff Gregg Bartlette confirmed to WAFF 48 News that former Somerville Police Chief Chris Landers bonded out of jail Friday night on a 60-thousand dollars bond. He's accused of two counts of sodomy, one count os sexual abuse: enticing a child for immoral purposes. Bartlett tells us that the Alabama Bureau of Investigation and the Attorney General are handling the case. But that a Morgan County Sheriff's Deputy arrested landers late Friday evening. You may remember landers stepped down from the Somerville PD back in January. We don't know if his resignation has anything to do with these charges. www.waff.com/Global/story.asp?S=5153912&nav=0hBE
