04/27/2006 - A felony stalking charge has been filed in Brown County Circuit Court against Town of Freedom police officer Christopher M. Nechodom.
Freedom Police Chief Jim Molloy said today that Nechodom has been on paid administrative leave since his arrest a week ago by Green Bay police. He joined the department as a part-time officer in July 2000 and was appointed full-time a year later.
Nechodom was released from jail Wednesday after posting $500 cash bond. The one-count criminal complaint alleged he stalked a former girlfriend living in Green Bay on April 1.
During his court appearance Tuesday, Nechodom was ordered not to have any contact with the victim, her residence or place of employment. The initial appearance was continued to May 19.
