Officer Patrick Taylor 03/23/2006 - ARLINGTON - A Dallas Police officer is facing charges of criminal solicitation of a minor. According to Arlington Police, 25-year-old Patrick Taylor is being held in the city’s jail on $7,500 bond. Police say an Arlington woman told officers that the cell phone she shares with her 14-year-old daughter contained several inappropriate text messages. Officers tell CBS 11 News that one message, sent today, indicated that Taylor was en route to meet the girl at her home. The mother called Arlington Police, and officers stopped and arrested Taylor at the scene. Taylor has been with Dallas Police since November, 2004. He is assigned to the Northeast Patrol Division. Criminal solicitation of a minor is a second degree felony, punishable by as many as 20 years in prison. Arlington Police say they are still investigating the case.
