MIDDLETOWN - A Middletown police lieutenant, whom officials described as well-respected with an excellent 15-year record of service, was placed on paid leave following allegations that he barricaded himself inside his ex-wife's home in Greene County. Officer Steven G. Ezerski, 38, of Dayton, is to appear today in Xenia Municipal Court on charges of burglary, inducing panic and obstruction of official business. Xenia police received a report at 4:45 p.m. Tuesday that a suspicious man was outside a home in the 2000 block of Drummond Drive, a Greene County dispatcher confirmed Wednesday. Xenia police called in a SWAT team to help arrest Ezerski, who was off-duty at the time, officials said. Ezerski posted a $4,500 bond and was released early Wednesday from the Greene County Jail. news.enquirer.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20070222/NEWS01/702220376/1056/COL02
