On December 20th, 2004 at 10:40am I was hit by HPD officer Christopher Lee Green while I was going through a crosswalk, Eastbound on Richmond Ave. Former officer Green was seen cutting across two lanes of traffic at the last minute to make a right-hand turn without signaling. He hit me doing 40mph.
I have the police report saying what happened and news footage of the cop admitting he wasn't paying attention... I spent three weeks in the hospital and now have a titianium rod in my left tibia. My leg hurts every single moment of every single day and I have a lot of emotional trauma I'm still working through. Despite all this, the City of Houston claims the whole thing never happened.
You may remember former officer Green as the HPD cop who pulled over a Chinese national for drunk driving, and after putting her in the back of his car, he went through her cell phone and found nude photos of her. He uploaded the photos to his PDA and showed them around to all his cop buddied, and a week later his partner called her to try and score a date. This all happened a month before he hit me and he was under investigation, but not put on desk duty and nothing was really done until months after he hit me. I just wanted to share this with you and hopefully find someone who's had run-ins with him or his ilk out of the "Westside" dispatch on Richmond and Diary Ashford.
Feel free to e-mail me...

Officer George Miller(L) Officer Christopher Green(R) I have a friend who lives in Texas who has kept up with this story, he's the one that e-mailed me the story for the website when it happened. I just called him up and he said that officer George Miller has been reinstated back to the department and that no decision had been made on officer Green yet. Officer Green more than likely will get his job back through arbitration. My friend also mention something to me. He said that all a person could get from a city in a lawsuit was $100,000. He said that this is the maximum you can get if your hit by a "emergency vehicle" in Texas. He said the law was made up in 1969 and has not been changed since. Probably never will change either! He also mentioned about a recent "police chase" in Houston, where the cops chased a guy for over two hours, until he crashed into a car carrying a grandmother, mother and baby. He said what was funny was that an officer after the police chase was mad because right before the guy crashed his car, the police chase was called of by a supervisor. My friend said that the officer is in trouble now, because he spoke up on TV bad mouthing his department and their policies on police chases. The officer was telling the press that "the policy was wrong and that police chases shouldn't be called off, and that the public expected cops to 'protect and serve' and keep chasing and catch the bad guys who run from the police." This cop sounds like he's full of shit. He knows that police have no right or duty to protect and serve the public. Cops really need to stop spreading this propaganda. And what does he care how long he chases bad guys in a city full of people. If he hits or kills someone along the way, he has immunity. Plus the city will only be out $100,000 per victim hurt or killed along the way.

05/21/05 - Houston Texas - Two Houston police officers have been fired after a four-month investigation into allegations that they downloaded nude photographs of a suspected drunken driver from her camera phone.
Police Officers Christopher Green and George Miller were indefinitely suspended late last week. Indefinite suspension is tantamount to firing at the Houston Police Department.
The firings could affect dozens of drunken-driving cases awaiting court dates. Green and Miller were assigned to the department's drunken-driving task force.
It is not clear whether they had appealed their termination to the city Civil Service Commission. The officers' union attorney didn't immediately return a call Thursday.
The firings stemmed from an incident in November when they arrested a college student on a charge of driving while intoxicated.
According to a search warrant for Green's home, he transferred nude photos of the woman from her cellular phone to his personal digital assistant.
The warrant also alleged that Miller left the woman a voice-mail message suggesting that they meet at an Italian cafe.
Ned Gill, who is defending the woman against the DWI charge has said he has no idea why his client, a Houston Community College student, had nude photos of herself on her cell phone, or why the officers examined the phone.
The woman, a native of China, is in the United States on a student visa and speaks little English, Gill said.
Marc Brown, head of the District Attorney's Office's misdemeanor division, said he does not think criminal charges will be filed against Green and Miller, but added that he is not involved in that decision. Assistant District Attorney Edward Porter is leading the criminal investigation and could not be reached for comment.
Several Houston defense attorneys with clients arrested by Miller and Green on DWI charges have indicated they plan to use the camera-phone incident to challenge the officers' credibility.
Some defense attorneys think the incident could be interpreted as a violation of the state computer law. That law states that, "a person commits an offense if the person knowingly accesses a computer, computer network or computer system without the effective consent of the owner."

It's not just $100,000... It goes in tiers, and I should qualify for $250,000.
I just really love the fact that neither officer was taken off active duty during the investigation until AFTER I got hit... And that Green was alone in his car at the time.
I can relate the whole story if you're interested. I've gotten death threats, been arrested for no cause, and other harassment by HPD since I got hit. It's just been a real fun time. Though, thankfully Green is such a moron it will make my case easier to win. I also love that the new chief was brought in to "clean up" HPD after that massive bust, but Hurt (I think his name is) was booted out of Phoenix PD for his illegal and questionable actions there.
