Got you covered. policecrime.proboards28.com/index.cgi?board=policeofficerswhokill&action=display&thread=1167932470You seem to be a day late and dollar short. We encourage on the spot reporting and inside information whether it is for police officers or against police officers. Sometimes there are good officers that the media screws over and then there are those officers who are just plain evil. Comparing the sentencing of crimes committed by police officers as opposed to the sentencing of crimes committed by us regular civilians, you are on your own. The information is here on Policecrimes.com so do your own homework. Common knowledge its that police officers are above the law and not subject to the law. Read up and good luck. The stats you require are here scattered among our many topics. "DUI officer runs over and kills jogger and gets away with murder" etc., etc. Too many stories to help you with.

I replied to the message you have posted the link to. Thankyou for your reply. Yes, as a family member I have inside info but much of it can't be discussed at the present time. I was just trying to figure out what the average amount of time an officer convicted of hit and run receives. Here in Fl. they just changed the sentencing guidelines thanks to the hard work of Jamie McWilliams. Her website 'Justice for Justin' explains how she helped change the guidelines from 15 to 30 yrs. They were changed on Oct.1,2006 and Rick Nye was killed on Oct 10,2006. Hopefully this officer will receive more than the paltry sentences I have been finding trough the net, 0 to 5 yrs. Give me a break! Thats why I was asking if anyone knew where maybe I could find statistics that specifically show discrepancies between the sentences of cops and the sentences of civilians. Thankyou again for your help.

The M.E.'s office has determined that Rick Nye was deceased upon impact and was not conscious when he was run over multiplr times. Thank God!
