Michael Hamblin, 37, was charged Thursday with public indecency for an incident Dec. 21 when he was observed by a 10-year-old girl "acting in a sexual manner" at the Deerfield Twp. Wal-Mart, according to the Warren County Sheriff's Office.
After an investigation by Warren County detectives, Hamblin was charged in Mason Municipal Court with one count of public indecency, a third-degree misdemeanor.
Hamblin was arrested Jan. 4 on a probation violation while staying at the Talbert House at Turtle Creek Center. He was charged last week in a Butler County public indecency case. Hamblin lived in Butler County before he was arrested. He is incarcerated in the Warren County Jail.
Former Montgomery County deputy guilty of sexual battery
A former Montgomery County deputy pled guilty Thursday to one count of sexual battery, a felony of the third degree, Warren County Prosecutor Rachel Hutzel said.
Daniel Johnson, 28, of Kemp Road, Beavercreek, will be sentenced at 8:45 a.m. March 5 in Warren County Court of Common Pleas before Judge Neal Bronson. Johnson faces up to five years in prison.
The charges against Johnson came after an investigation was conducted by the Warren County Sheriff's Office. In September 2006, Johnson, then a Montgomery County deputy, was on duty and was picking up an inmate who was being held in the Warren County jail. During the transport of the inmate back to Montgomery County for a hearing, Johnson engaged in sexual conduct with the inmate while parked in the Montgomery County Sheriff's vehicle.
