03/23/2006 - San Diego police are warning officers on patrol about a new threat: stun guns disguised as cell phones.
An internal memo described an arrest last week in which narcotics detectives found on a suspect a device that looked like a mobile phone, but does not make calls or receive them. The device sends an electrical charge through the top of the phone, working as a stun gun of sorts.
NBC 7/39 shopped around on Tuesday afternoon, to see how easy it would be to find the cell phone look-alike, and found one at the first place they called.
Cell phones disguised as guns have been found at airports by police in Holland, Slovenia and South America. In Europe, some airports use special X-ray machines to spot guns hidden in cell phones.

Great something else the cops need to worry about. Every time they harass some citizen and deprive them of their rights, they have to worry if the citizen is going to shock them with a stun gun. ;D
