Cops sometimes do that, turn around and file charges on you. I guess there hoping that the public will see, who is the less of the two evils really is? It's all a $game$- In some states you can't sue a police officer for false arrest, where in other states it's getting harder to do. If you get locked up on a stupid mistake an officer makes, or they think you look like someone "wanted" and they take you to jail and you wait for maybe 6-12 hours. Then they come back and say yep you were right, you weren't the person we was looking for. Next thing out of the D.A.'s or police officers mouth usually is...... ooop's, our fault we messed up, sorry about that and cya, you're free to go. Have a good day! Bye-bye now, you come back now you hear and visit us. Ok? Let us know how your day in court went.

If you filed a complaint against an officer you took a big step in exercising your rights as an American!
Is it "risky" to file a complaint against a cop? Sadly the answer could be yes. Three things cops hate are: 1. Complaints filed against them. 2. Attorneys that are up against them. 3. The media "that is when the media doesn't have anything good to say about them"
If you did file a complaint and you believe the trooper is the one calling you, I suggest you call the F.B.I. and file a complaint and also talk to an ATTORNEY! "For your safety and peace of mind." Maybe the attorney can get a restraining order against the cop or get your phone tap if he calls you again ?? As far as fabricated reasons COPS do it all the time! A lot of times they will make up something or plant something on your person just to make their case against you. My favorites are well he was driving around in a "high crime neighborhood" so I pulled him over or sir you smell like "pot" that gives the cop at that point right to search your person and the car.
Yes cops will LIE!
