01.30.2007 - HAVERHILL - Three criminal charges have been filed against a Haverhill veteran of the Ipswich Police Department for stealing money from his own union. Patrolman Michael J. Kenney of Haverhill resigned on Tuesday and is scheduled to be arraigned in Ipswich District Court in Newbury on Feb. 8. Kenney, 39, is charged with cashing three checks made out to himself for a total of $2,835. The money has been repaid, acting police Chief Dan Moriarty said yesterday.
