An Akron police officer was indicted Wednesday night on several charges stemming from an incident at his home last month. A Summit County grand jury handed down a five-count indictment, with two felonies, against Officer Leslie Jones, a 15-year veteran of the police department. Jones faces charges of tampering with evidence, disrupting a public service, aggravated menacing, obstructing official business and misdemeanor domestic violence. According to Lt. Rick Edwards, the charges against Jones stem from a Jan. 6 incident in which officers responded to a domestic-dispute call at the officer's home. Following the incident, Jones was placed on unpaid administrative leave. Jones will be arraigned at 8 a.m. Wednesday. www.ohio.com/mld/ohio/news/16758184.htm
