01.22.2007 - A San Antonio police officer was arrested early Sunday after an altercation with his wife, authorities said. Bexar County sheriff's deputies arrived at a home in the 11000 block of Connemara Cove after receiving a call that Officer Bryan Baldwin was threatening a woman, said police Sgt. Anthony Maziek. Baldwin, 32, was arrested for assault causing serious bodily injury/married or cohabitant, according to magistrate records. The magistrate on duty rejected the case for an undetermined reason and Baldwin was released. The judge did issue an emergency protective order against Baldwin, according to the magistrate's office. The district attorney can still file charges against the officer. Police spokesman Sgt. Gabe Trevino confirmed a San Antonio police officer was held and released Sunday by Bexar sheriff's deputies. The officer was placed on administrative duty pending an investigation by the Internal Affairs unit, Trevino said. www.mysanantonio.com/news/metro/stories/MYSA012207.assault.e-n.8d43c17.html
