February 18, 2007 DAYTONA BEACH, FLORIDA – Off-duty deputy arrested: An off-duty St. Johns County sheriff’s deputy was placed on administrative leave after his arrest on several DUI charges Friday night in Daytona Beach. David Fulcher, 44, of St. Augustine, is accused of driving under the influence of alcohol, DUI with property damage and DUI with injuries, according to the Volusia County Jail. The Daytona Beach Police Department arrested him at 11 p.m. Friday and placed him in the jail overnight. He posted $1,500 bond early Saturday. Daytona Beach Police could not provide further details at presstime. St. Johns County Sheriff’s Spokesman Sgt. Chuck Mulligan said Fulcher, a longtime veteran of the sheriff’s department, was driving his personal vehicle at the time of the arrest.
