An officer shoots himself with his own Taser gun. Video here: www.break.com/index/cop_tasers_his_leg.htmlThe officer received medical treatment later for his injuries. Are all tasered victims given medical treatment for their injuries or are they simply thrown into a jail cell with an “Oh well”?

Oh tasers are non lethal weapons, they are usually fine after spending a few hours in a cell. Just ignore the blood from where they fell on their head.

In most Jails, their taser policy requires that the on-duty nurse examine them once they've been tasered. Officers are also trained in first aid treatment for those that have been tasered (for barb removal).

most departments have policies that state some type of mecial attention will be given. it vaires from department to department what kind of medical attention that is. I know in my area anyone shot by a taser will at least have an ambulance paged to check the person out.
