If there is this much negativity against how you seem to believe cops are doing wrong, why don't you become a police officer and show people how you would do the job. I love how so many people complain from the other side of the fence but will not prove themselves or their words. Normally only the law breakers hate the police. Mr Public that lives a life on the law abiding side doesn't complain. There are @ssh@les in all professions but that is life. If you don't like the way things are done - why don't you try it. Unfortunately - you cannot become a police officer with a crimainal record - so I imagine this is out of the question for a majority of the people on this site. Now I will not say all of the people on here are criminals, because then I would lower myself to the level of some that group all people together -like has been done on here with the cops.

Now I will not say all of the people on here are criminals, because then I would lower myself to the level of some that group all people together -like has been done on here with the cops. The bad news we're presenting here is, of course, only the tip of the tip of the iceberg. As with any crime, only a tiny fraction of police misconduct is ever caught, and we can only guess what fraction of what's caught actually makes it into the newspapers, and of the rare police misconduct that is reported in the media, surely we stumble across only a tiny sliver. And of that sliver, these are just a few selected highlights. Cops are very nearly worshipped in our society. On endless TV shows, in movies, police procedural novels, in the newspapers and on the nightly news, police are usually presented as virtue personified -- as if it's heroic to button up a blue shirt and pin on a badge. It's not. What some cops do while wearing the uniform makes them heroes ... and what other cops do, on-duty and off, reveals them as thugs. Well, if you're looking for more news of police heroism, you've come to the wrong place. If you want to be told that the policeman is your friend, that cops are the good guys and robbers are the bad guys, you'll find such reassurance on every 'news network,' in every newscast around the clock, and in every cop show from Dragnet to NYPD Blue. This web site serves a different purpose, for anyone brave enough to face facts: All cops are not heroes. But because of the myth that "all cops are heroes," there's minimal call for disciplining bad cops, and maximal call for "forgiving," and "understanding" the tough work of being a cop. And that's despicable. And terrifying. Police work is tough. It's among the most difficult jobs in the world. And turning a blind eye toward police misconduct -- allowing crooked, corrupt, outright criminal cops to have long careers in law enforcement -- only makes it more difficult and dangerous for the good cops. Letting cops get away with crime ... ... Or "punishing" police misconduct with long, leisurely paid suspensions ... ... Or probation ... ... Or sweet deals that allow a policeman's own police record to be expunged ... ... Or any of the other special treatments cops typically receive when they're accused of wrongdoing ... ... is assinine and counterproductive. We'd like to see good cops get a raise, and bad cops held accountable for their crimes. Any other policy is an invitation to savages and brutes -- to button up a blue shirt, pin on a badge, and break the law with impunity.

The Mr. John Q. Public you speak of is usually ignorant of such things, such as exactly how many bad cops are out on the streets. That is why this site is here, to show people that there isn't just a "few bad apples" out roaming our streets. What I think is funny is when IGNORANT people suggest that since this site "bashes" the bad cops, that we must be criminals on here. You have to come up with something better then that statement, that's older then your Grandma. Sure there is ass holes is every profession, but not all ass holes are allowed to carry a weapon and use it on a citizen. If I may ask you this.......What has a cop ever done for you, that you were to chicken shit to take care of yourself? Also why do you have the urge, to take up for bad cops? I don't hate cops, I'm just smart enough not to trust them!

HOWY- yes HOW sad and foolish you are, it's time to wake up and join the rest of "us" who live in the real world. So reality scares you, and instead of trying to catch a clue you choose to persecute the rest of us who have our eyes wide open? NOT. Let me tell you something, that will freak you out even more- I am the daughter of a retired firefighter(FDNY), niece and cousin to NYPD police officers, detectives and captains. I am a veteran, I worked as a detention officer and correctional officer until a severe rollover accident in 2000. My vehicle was wrongfully hit by a police cruiser in 2005. My 3 year old little boy was in the car with me. They put guns to both of our heads. My son witnessed his mommy being violently dragged from the vehicle, I was in a state of shock at that point. The state trooper informed me that my son was dead and in a bodybag and that I killed him. Can we get the name and number of his father?(MY son was and is ALIVE, they let me believe he was dead for 3 days, that's how sick they are) I was attacked by a 6'3" approx 330lbs. male detention officer. He smashed my head against the concrete holding cell wall repeatedly and body slammed me. I am a lady who is 5'6" and weighs 105 lbs. By the way, I WAS SLEEPING IN THE CELL WHEN HE ATTACKED ME! Is this officer still your hero? I'm the bad guy criminal here too, huh? My 3 year old little boy? Don't even go there!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I was placed in a restraint chair, where ANOTHER MALE OFFICER(big guy too) choked me to the point of unconsciousness, left me in the chair for almost 11hours, you can see me slowly dying and watch my arms turning blue and black where the circulation is being cut off. Then they have to call the jail medical , take me off camera and give me the defibrilator paddles and/or epinephrine to revive me. I have lost 25-30% of my vision, have excruciating head pain daily, I have lost my sense of taste, smell, hearing, besides the physical therapy for my neck back, etc. All of this because the police refuse to admit they made a mistake even though their Captain ordered them NOT to hit me and came to my home to apologize to me and my family. I am the mother of 4 beautiful children. They then took my children hostage(social services) to try and make me have a nervous breakdown. They cannot break me, I am from Brooklyn, New York. Of course, they had to give my kids back but they kept me out of my own home for 7 months because like the corrupt social service worker said, you're gonna sue the cops, right? No one in this corrupt state of Colorado will help me. I had the cell tape made into a DVD- are you man enough to watch it HOWY? If this could happen to me, this could happen to anyone. For real- welcome to the UNITED STATES of AMERICA, HOWY. Even the attorney general of this state isn't man enough to even watch the video. Like I said, the whole state is corrupt, and I am not the only person that feels this way. They killed a black man in this jail and who knows how many others. The detention officer that smashed my head against the wall and tackled me is and was under investigation from their Internal Affairs for the death plot/murder of an inmate also known as human being. Remember, HOWY, I was an officer myself and still have family on the force. The difference is that my son who asks me, "Mommy, why did they hit us? We are not the bad guys.", I tell him they made a mistake and you have family that are police officers . My children are informed and more realistically educated than you Howy or myself was at their age. That is the problem in this country, people act like they are living in a fantasy world and these corrupt people love it because we are so busy spending our time and energy arguing with each other instead of uniting together to make a change. I would NEVER want anyone else to go through what me and my family have gone through and are still going through. Our lives are still in danger. I thought this was America too but it's only COLORADO aka HELL ON EARTH. If anyone out there can help me with advice, suggestions I would appreciate it. I am new to this site and I need to figure out how to get the DVD to you so you can watch it. Like I said I have some head trauma from this monster that attacked me, but I have cool 17 year old daughter who can help me. Thanks for listening. Be safe. Peace.
