I scan the net daily looking for police stories. I also read message boards on other sites as well. One particular message board I enjoy is on officer.com.
I enjoy reading the post because that board is majority of police officers. It's nice to read comments written by officers. This insight into their thoughts, sometimes reassures me hat there are some good cops still out there and that care. I'm always surprised when some of them tell the truth and seem really honest and sincere about the answers they give, when a poster ask a question.
On the next post below I'm posting a post from Officer.com, regarding a "comment" from a particular police officer in Georgia.

Taking pictures of young kids in a public park while they are playing in their bathing suits for "personal pleasure" What is the crime if any (lewd conduct) or would any court grant a search warrant to a police officer based on this scenario? In my last interview the panel asked me what I would do if I noticed a man at a park or beach taking photos of young kids. The subject is in a rental car, and although the subject is "nice" he refuses to identify himself, supervisors are unavailable,(dealing with an armed barricaded subject) and your back up is also on his first day. All that info I found out after I tried to identify his car, asked for his ID, asked for assistance, and requested a supervisor. Also while I am talking to the man, he continues to take pictures, and a near by mother notices and is now getting upset. ..................... WHAT A HEAD ACHE. timoty007 View Public Profile Send a private message to timoty007 Send email to timoty007 Find More Posts by timoty007 Add timoty007 to Your Buddy List

If he declined to ID I'd call the rental agency and try to ID him through the rental agreement. Then I'd have dispatch check wants and run a history to for investigative purposes to determine if he has a history of sex offenses. If he is a registered sex offender there may be some violation in certain jurisdictions. If worse comes to worst you could always just sit down next to him until he does something illegal or gets sick of you and leaves. There are a few different options, but all of them require a bit of creativity __________________ "there is no hunting like the hunting of man and those who have hunted armed men long enough and liked it, never really care for anything else thereafter." I suggested contacting the rental company to ID him also, but as your typical scenarios go the rental company was closed for whatever reason. It did cross my mind to hang out with him and wait for something illegal to occur, I instead answered that I would ask the subject to leave the park, because he was creating unrest with the parents, if he refused to corporate at this point further action such as (trespassing) could be pursued??? timoty007 View Public Profile Send a private message to timoty007 Send email to timoty007 Find More Posts by timoty007 Add timoty007 to Your Buddy List

When the deputy made contact, he quickly advised the deputy that he wasn't doing anything wrong. The deputy asked to see his camera (digital) and the man let him - his mistake! When the deputy scrolled thru the pics, he found some not so innocent pics of kids (different kids) this was enough to secure a search warrant of his apartment, were they found all sorts of things!
Apparently he had a large collection of Disney films on videotape - all of which had been taped over in the middle part with kiddie porn. Which I was told is a modus operandi of these types. __________________ Why yes, I do have baggage. Join Date: Oct 2004 Location: Midwest Posts: 1,151 I had this exact thing happen at a local public beach actually. He was being very uncooperative and was driving a car he claimed was not his (it was his). So, I went back to my patrol car, grabbed my camera, and took a few pictures of his car then took a few pictures of HIM. I made him nervous enough to where he got up and started walking away. I advised him that it is probably a good idea not to come back, ever. Upon leaving and following him for a few minutes I observed that he rode the center line a little bit. Whoops! Illegal lane usage! Got his ID and wrote him up. He was not a happy camper but never took the citation to court.

He takes pictures for the paper also. He was going to put the pics on the web and had the parents from the out of town team pretty upset. Don't really blame them. Talked w/ DA who advised him not to put pics on the comp. of any child of any parent that did not agree to it.
Questions like this are tough in the interviews, especially w/ no prior experience. Just try to work through them logically, should be ok. Kyia View Public Profile Send a private message to Kyia Send email to Kyia Find More Posts by Kyia Add Kyia to Your Buddy List

Fair Tax now! Bastards like Centurion44 should have a have 40 cal. shoved in their mouth and made to suck it, like their so use to sucking on something hard. I know I wouldn't loose a nights sleep if someone ended his pathetic life. Shit like this happens all the time. The police in Texas a few months back, found that one of their officers had in the trunk of his patrol car a box containing a pistol, other weapons and drugs. The officer was let off with a warning! Bad cops need to watch their back, their day is coming.
