by Jamie Friar MONTGOMERY, Ala. (AP) - The buzz in Alabama today is over a vibrator ruling. A federal appeals court has ruled the state's ban on sex toys is constitutional. But the adult playthings won't be disappearing immediately. The state attorney general's office has agreed not enforce the law pending further appeals. The appeals court held the state legislature could ban sex toy sales in the interest of preserving public morality. Sherri Williams, who owns the Pleasures adult toy shops in Huntsville and Decatur, is among those who challenged the law. She says she's disappointed the court made it's ruling on Valentine's Day. The decision, dated Wednesday, was released yesterday. www.ktvotv3.com/Global/story.asp?S=6100164&nav=1LFs

It's nice to know that our government is looking out for the safety of its citizens. When it cums to pleasuring ones self, the government has a different view for that don't they?
Is sad that so many people in the U.S. are ignorant and they allow "their" government to dictate to them what is good and what is bad. Then you have these jack boot police officers that go around busting people for sex toys. Yeah makes me want to puke, when the cops say that they protect and serve. Their job is easy when it cums to hunting down citizens that pleasure them self in a different way, yet the cops when it comes to real policing haven't a clue.
If the government was so concerned, maybe they would clamp down a little more on alcohol and tobacco companies. Since cigarettes is as a drug, maybe our government should see that the FDA over sees cigarettes. Cigarettes is the only drug "I believe" that is legal, that the government doesn't require the FDA to approve it. Then again when you have politicians taking Millions of dollars a year from the alcohol and tobacco lobbyist, you can begin to see that our government only cares for itself and not its citizens.
