ATLANTA Citing the shooting of 13 people by police in and around Atlanta, community activists are calling for the creation of civilian review boards to investigate police misconduct complaints. One activist says police "are not exempt from community scrutiny," no matter how difficult the job is. The activists cite the shooting of an elderly woman by Atlanta police and the killings of 12 other people by suburban DeKalb County officers this year. One activist says the civilian review boards should have subpoena power and that Atlanta's mayor has told him she's not opposed to the idea. DeKalb County's chief executive says he will take the suggestion under advisement. The district attorney's office is already investigating the fatal shootings. www.kvia.com/Global/story.asp?S=5866703
