On Dec. 21rst 2005, an off duty police officer entered my apartment while my 14 year old son was alone and shot my dog to death in front of him. He then attempted to kidnap my son. Our neighbors pulled my son away from him and hid him until I returned. I am now on my second internal affairs report because the first was disappeared. I have tried to file charges and have been flat out told to forget it by his fellow officers. I have tried to file a report outside of my precinct and was told to go back to the 10th precinct. I wear Kevlar now......

There has to be lot more to the story, would love to hear it.
Have you tried calling the (DOJ) Department of Justice and filing a complaint? The other option is getting an attorney to help you out.
Trust me filing complaints against cops doesn't work always! You have to remember that the "boss" of internal affairs is the police chief or sheriff and that make the final decision on if their cop did right or wrong.
Another means to help you out, is the "media." Get your local newspaper involved. Go talk to the editor or a reporter and tell them your story.

It is the duty of the patriot to protect his country from the government. That is so cool. being reminded of things, is better than learning things for the first time. There is more to the story however one thing I've learned from this disaster is to keep things strait and simple. Thanks for responding, I've felt pretty alone lately. How the heck do I get to the media.
