05/12/2006 - FORT MYERS, Fla. — A veteran Lee County sheriffs deputy was arrested today in connection with child pornography charges.
Sergeant Russell Graham is charged with six counts of possession of photographs of sexual performance by a child.
Graham was fired from the Sheriffs Office, where he had served 24 years.
In a statement, Lee County Sheriff Mike Scott says this is embarrassing and disappointing to all who wear the badge of a law enforcement officer.
The sheriff's office is working with the FBI to investigate the case.
