01.17.2007 - An Indiana State Police supervisor remained on administrative duty today amid allegations he bit and punched his ex-wife on the Far Westside on Dec. 27. Officer Darnell Ledsinger, 46, was placed on desk duty and stripped of police powers soon after the incident at Tammi Ledsinger's home in the 6500 block of Santa Ana Lane, First Sgt. Dave Bursten said this morning. No one has been arrested. Indianapolis Metropolitan Police have turned the investigation over to the Marion County Prosecutor's Office. "We are waiting to see what the conclusion of the investigation brings," Bursten said. According to a police report, Darnell Ledsinger was attempting to breakup a fight between Tammi Ledsinger, 41, and his new girlfriend when he bit Tammi on the left arm and punched her in the head outside Tammi's home.
