MIAMI -- A Miami-Dade Schools Police Department officer is facing federal drug trafficking charges. The U.S. attorney's office said Officer John P. Esquijarosa has been charged with cocaine possession with intent to distribute. The charges follow an undercover investigation involving three separate occasions where authorities said Esquijarosa sold cocaine. If convicted, Esquijarosa faces a maximum sentence of 20 years in prison and a maximum fine of $2 million. It was not immediately known whether Esquijarosa had an attorney. www.local10.com/news/10967732/detail.html
