Officer Clayton James GRAYSON, Ky. — Kentucky State Police troopers will continue their investigation this morning into what led a police officer to become involved with student at East Carter High School. Troopers arrested Clayton James, 41, of Olive Hill, Ky., Tuesday. He was charged with first-degree official misconduct. He was released from the Carter County Detention Center on a $200 cash bond. A criminal investigation report states that James used a computer owned by East Carter High School to send “e-mails to a 16-year-old female that attended the school.” Those e-mails were said to have “contained information that enticed the female to engage in a physical relationship with (James).” The case remains under investigation. www.herald-dispatch.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20070110/NEWS01/70110006/1001/NEWS10
