1. Fake Red Light Tickets In California, many police departments send out red light camera "tickets" that have not been filed with the Superior Court. Even though these "tickets" have no legal weight, and can be ignored, about 90% of the time they successfully bluff the registered owner into revealing the name, address and driver's license number of the person who was driving the car. Fake Speeding Tickets San Jose is running a photo radar ticket program, despite VC 21455.6(c) which says: "The authorization in Section 21455.5 to use automated enforcement systems does not authorize the use of photo radar for speed enforcement purposes by any jurisdiction." Someone needs to call them on it. By the way, the fake speeding tickets could become legal, and spread statewide. One of our state senators has been trying to pass a bill to make them legal.
